CARDIAC FIRST RESPONSE COURSE

BRIEF INTRODUCTION TO COURSE

Our Cardiac First Response course trains individuals in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and in the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) who can respond to someone who has suddenly collapsed.

REQUIREMENTS

Students should be physically well enough to carry out chest compression on a manikin while kneeling.

DURATION

4.5 hours

ASSESSMENT

Course participants may have their skills assessed throughout or at the end of the course. The skills assessment consists of PHECC’s CFR Community assessment sheet.

CERTIFICATION

Upon successful completion of this course participants will receive a Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council Cardiac First Response – Community certificate which is valid for two years.
